Social Value Aotearoa has welcomed 24 new graduates into the social value community, following the completion of their Social Value International (SVI) Level 1 Associate training.
Designed to give participants a grounding in the principles of social value, impact management and an introduction to Social Return on Investment (SROI), the course covered key concepts of the SVI Framework, identifying stakeholders and outcomes, measuring and valuing change and moving from outcomes to genuine impact.
Participants also worked through how to avoid overclaiming and how to embed social value into reporting and decision making, before sitting an open book Associate Exam to complete the certification.
Graduates now hold an internationally accredited certification as a Social Value International Level One Associate, the first step on the practitioner pathway toward full SROI certification.
The course was led by Corey McAleese and Hinemoana Durie-Shedlock, both experienced Social Value and SROI practitioners who have led the delivery of SROI Level 1 training in Aotearoa. Their focus throughout the course was on making Social Value practical and relevant, supporting participants to confidently apply SROI in real-world contexts.
For graduates looking to continue their journey, pathways are open to progress. Those interested can reach out to the team at info@socialvalueaotearoa.nz to find out more.
