For the second year in a row, Awerangi Tamihere was invited to serve as a judge for the Social Good category at the 2025 Best Design Awards, recognising work that delivers meaningful social, cultural, and community impact through design.
As a Board Member of Social Value Aotearoa, Awerangi’s appointment reflects the growing influence of social value thinking within design, strategy, and systems leadership across Aotearoa. The Social Good category celebrates design with a conscience, work that demonstrates proven positive impact and strengthens wellbeing, identity, and community outcomes.
Serving again as a judge reinforces the importance of bringing indigenous value systems, long-term wellbeing, and social impact into how excellence is recognised and measured. The 2025 judges list includes Awerangi among the Social Good judging panel.
