27 impact leaders gather in Auckland for Social Value & SROI training

Social Value Aotearoa has welcomed 27 impact leaders to a two-day accredited training in Social Value and Social Return on Investment (SROI), held at the Holiday Inn Auckland.

Attendees travelled from across Aotearoa, with some journeying as far as Taihape and Christchurch to take part.

Many organisations are working hard to create positive change, but proving that impact is another matter. The Social Value and SROI framework offers a way to do just that.

Internationally recognised, it's a stakeholder-driven approach to evaluation that blends with cost-benefit analysis, allowing organisations not only to tell the story of the change they're creating, but to place a monetary value on it and weigh that against the cost of achieving it.

The course was delivered by SVA Consulting's Simon Faivel, an accredited Social Value and SROI trainer and practitioner. Simon brings a background that spans philosophy, corporate strategy consulting and small business ownership to his work at Social Ventures Australia (SVA), which he joined in 2007.

With 27 impact leaders now equipped with these tools, the ripple effect for social impact measurement across Aotearoa is set to grow.
