Social Value Aotearoa (SVA) is pleased to be part of the Social Good category at the 2026 Best Design Awards, with this year’s winners being celebrated on Friday 9 October in Tāmaki Makaurau.

Hosted by the Designers Institute of New Zealand, the annual awards recognise excellence in design, with the Social Good category celebrating work that creates meaningful social, cultural and environmental outcomes.

Awerangi Tamihere MNZM represented Social Value Aotearoa as a judge for the Social Good category in August, bringing extensive knowledge and experience in social value, impact measurement, outcomes-focused approaches and Indigenous perspectives on wellbeing and value creation.

For SVA, involvement in the awards reflects our commitment to recognising the value created through innovation, creativity and design.

Great design is not simply about what we create, but the value it generates, who benefits and the difference it makes.
