NOT AN IMPORTED PHILOSOPHY, A RETURN TO A TE AO MāORI WORLD VIEW.

Most countries experience the principles of social value as an imported philosophy - whereas in Aotearoa its a return to the Maori world view that was distorted by colonisation.

This world view prioritised relational interactions over transactional exchanges and collective outcomes over individual betterment.

That’s why we prioritise measurement done with communities, not to them. We ask - what does success look like to you?

When we report back to communities this allows whanau, kaimahi and partners to recognise their voices, goals, whakapapa (history) of whanau and struggle in the evidence - so the evidence becomes taonga.

To be continued.
